If you haven't had one, You should get one.  You should get a tune up every 50,000 miles, although it is not necessary.

If this hasn't been done since you owned the vehicle. Get it done asap. It will also help in savng gas when it is running smoothly. Most tune-ups are done about every 25,000. Your driving habits also have to do with how frequent a tune-up should be done.

I hate to say it, but it depends on the car.

If you look in the owner's manual or any service manual it should give you several service schedules depending on varying driving conditions such as severe service which is more stop and go and cuty driving and regular service which is more highway driving.

Honestly not a lot of manufacturer's supply a schedule over 100k anymore but just figure out the intervals and apply them to your driving style.

I usually do a small tune up and complete inspection every third oil change.   then a real tune up every six.

don't forget to change your anti freeze and brake fluid every 12 months too.

Oil every 3k

Spark Plugs every 10k

Plug wires should last a long time change if you dont know how old they are.

Trans fluid every 30k

Flush radiator every 30k

Water Pump every 100k

Pack and lub hubs every 50-100k

Rotate tires every other oil change

Change radiators hoses

Air filter every 10k unless K&N 50 recharge

Fuel filter every 100k

Thermostat checked when fluid changed

Dont change your antifreeze and brake fluid every 12 months thats retarded. Brake fluid maybe since its 100k but you dont need to.

Do all the work yourself no sense paying 150 bucks to have a tune up when all they are going to do is change your spark plugs and call it a day.

oil every 3,000 miles - plugs every 50,000 air filter as needed - plug wires every  other time you change your plugs - flush your cooling system every 65,000 miles.

Well, if anyone here is changing there spark plugs every 10k miles then they should stop buying those cheap spark plugs from the 99 cent store. Get yourself a half decent pair of plugs and there is no reason why you can't get atleast 50k from a pair of spark plugs. I just changed my spark plugs last month for the first time after my car hit 102,000 miles. I checked the plugs that I pulled out and certainly did not appear as if I waited too long to replace them. Of course my plugs are not from the 99 cent store. I replaced them with the same plugs and do not expect to need them replaced for atleast another 85+ thousand miles.
