My car keeps cutting off!! Help me?

I have a 1995 Mazda 929 and this morning when I was leaving the doctor office i was sitting at the light and my car cut off. When I first bought the car in Sept. 06 it was doing the same thing but I just needed a tune up.  Once the tune up was done the problem stopped and now I'm experiencing it again.  It only cuts off when I'm coming to a complete stop.  What are some reasons why this is happening?? And how much would it probably cost to get it fixed? I really need my car bcuz I have a baby on the way

Just to brush up on my question.  I don't think it's my alternator bcuz if it was my radio or nothing electric will come on.  Besides I just got a new alternator and a battery back in Dec.  I did call Advance auto parts and price an air filter which cost $8.99.  I'm still tryna figure it out though

if you can afford it get a new car, because if you do have a baby on the way thats not good that your car keeps turning off, but it sounds like a problem with the engine or transmission itself you're looking at about $500 plus labor

There could be a TON of things wrong w/ the car. Instead of naming them all, I would take your car to a certified shop or dealer, pay the $75 diagnostic fee and let them run the tests. It'll save you a lot of time and money in the long run.

It could be something simple as a Idle Air Control valve.  That should cost much to fix.  100 at the most.  I know the part will only cost @ $30.

IT sounds like an ALTENATOR problems. The altenator charges the battery which gives energy to all your electronics and keeps your car on when at a stop. If the altenator is bad, it won't charge the battery and the car will keep dying at complete stops and eventually wont start. Because u got a foreign car (not sure though), it might cost u a little more to buy an altenator and have it put on. it'll probably b like 100.00 for the part and around 50.00 for labor depening on who and where you go.

That sounds like it might just need the idle adjusted up on it or you might need to have the fuel filter or filters replaced. Should not cost too much. Call Advance Auto and ask them how much the filters are and then call a reputable local garage and get a price for the repairs. I would say less than $ 120.00 anyway, but don't quote me. You buy the parts. Don't let the shop buy them. Most of them jack up the price to make a profit
