Is there anyway to take the rev limiter off of a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse?

I have a 2.4, 5speed eclipse and i am needing to take the rev limiter out. Does anyone know where i can buy a chip? Or is there a chip that I can just unplug from my ecu to take it out? I need help!!!!

You will have to have the ECU reprogrammed. Also WHY do you need the rev limiter removed? If the motor isn't built more for the higher RPM's then you can kiss that motor GOODBYE.

haha because he assumes that motor will make more power with higher revs! 140 hp isnt cutting it
