Valve cover gasket has a leak is my guess.  Maybe not seated correctly when installed.

WHEN YOU HAD THE VALVE COVER  OFF , YOU CAN SEE THE VALVE TRAIN. WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT YOUR CAR ON TOP DEAD CENTER AND REMOVE YOUR VALVE TRAIN. UNDER THERE, THERE ARE SEALS CALL ROCKER ARM SEALS (FOUR OF THEM, ONE FOR EACH CLY.) . AFTER PUTTING BACK YOUR VALVE TRAIN YOU HAVE TO ADJUST YOUR VALVES. GOOD LUCK

P.S. WHEN AND IF YOU DO IT LEAVE THE BOLTS IN THE VALVE TRAIN, VERY IMPORT ION . LIFT IT  UP AND LAY IT  FLAT.

That problem could be caused from a couple of things. If the oil is actualy in the cylander of the engine .These are the possibilitys,(one, you could have bad valve seals) (two ,you could have a blown head gasket thats alowing oil into the cylanders) (Third , the rings on the pistons could be alowing oil to be leaking  into the cylander.) If the car is smoking and ,or has a really bad smell like oil burning. Eather way you look at it it is not a good thing to be going on.

Valve guides and/or piston rings.

the problem is the cam tower seal and the spark plug seals on the valve cover..this is a common problem with the accords from 90 to 97 and also the civics from 88 to 00'...just remove the cam tower/rocker arm assembly, loosen all rocker arm adjusting screw to prevent bent valves when reassembly, replace the came tower o-rings and reassemble and adjust valves to specs..the replace spark plug seal on valve cover..might want to replace spark plug wires due to oil  in them..
