Speed is a question of money,

that being said,

increase the displacement (bored w oversize pistons)

light connecting rods (carillo's)

Balance Engine

custom head job valves, cams, port polish match,

turbocharge

Nitrous Oxide stage 3

Intercooler

Custom Fresh Air Intake

custom Engine Computer and Ignition

with the money that  you would spend to get over 1000hp

you can just get a new skyline 2008 GTR for 80k.  that has a 0-60 in 3.3 seconds ( the same as the lamborgini reventon)

If you have to ask, I don't think you're ready for something with 1000hp. No offense, but having a motor with that much HP you're going to run into constant troubles, and if you have to ask what parts you need to make 1000, you probably don't have any idea on how to actually maintain the engine and keep it running with that much power. Besides, 1000hp is impractical unless it's a track only car.

How about you just give me the skyline, and then i'll let you drive it after i make it have that much power? lol. where did you find a skyline? There getting harder and harder to find a true skyline.  Anyways, to get that much power, you will have to do a complete engine overhall. You would be better off getting a low milage crate engine (probably from japan) sent over here and start modding that way. I would have the cylinders bored to a higher displacement, then I would add atleast add a T3 or T4 turbo set-up, along with forged pistons, rods, cams, cranks, pulleys, intercooler and then get it ported and polished. It would probably be around 800whp, which is really enough to throw this car down the track at break-neck speeds. good luck if you do this (and give us links to pictures!)

I believe it  already comes with twin-turbos, so I really don't think you can do much to it besides tuning it. You might want to check with your Nissan parts department to see what NISMO has to offer.

running at 1000bhp is possible but with a cost another factor is if the car is going to be a daily runner then that sort of bhp would be no good on a daily run.

Many UK owners don't have over huge bhp, often below and around 500bhp due to there cars being a daily car, such as mine would wasted at really high bhp limits due to it being used for me to take the kids to school and wife to work.

Alot also depends where you live as i know plenty of UK tuners whom could due the job and i know of an US tuner whom has done the job.

Overall it depends on budget and which model you get.Link above is to the US tuner.

Link below is to the skyline owners free forum which has owners worldwide.the best place to ask,as they can suggest the best parts to use and to stay away from and also help you with any tuner and any part of your build.

there are plenty of mods to do to a Skyline without it running into really high bhp limits and needing alot of work,Myself last week had a custom made high flow stainless steel exhaust made and fitted to my R33.
