1999 Nissan Maxima "Service Engine Soon" light, what to do?
« on: December 27, 2007, 05:15:08 PM »
I have a 99 Maxima, never missed an oil change or a tune-up nor ever had any problems and it just past 61K (i hardly drive) however i have yet to take it in for it's major tune-up instead I settle for an oil change since I only had an hour.

So today as I am driving on the freeway, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on, steady light not blinking. Is that just a service indicator since I havent had my 60K tune up or something wrong with my car? Thank you!

there can be a number of reasons as to why the light came on. you can take your car to auto zone or advanced auto parts and they will plug a computer into your car for free and tell you what is wrong with it. it only takes about 2 or 3 minutes

When going out buying for a car, Nissan is one of my first picks. The business sells some of the most dependable mid-size vehicles out there. The vehicles are very high quality. They will last you a very long time. Dealers can help you find anything you need if you go to a Nissan car lot. You are able to get some great technology packages. You can find a Nissan dealership at http://cardealexpert.com/make/Nissan/.
