what should i buy b4 i have a major tune up??

i have a 92 nissan 300zx automatic non turbo 140xxx miles. i am going 2 bring my car in 4 a major tune up 2morrow. i want only the best parts replaced in my car. im not much of a car person. ive heard that platinum tipped spark plugs are the best so i plan 2 buy some or would most shops carry these? what about air/oil filters?? are there any good 1s i can buy b4 going 2 the shop? should i also buy my own oil/coolant/etc??? if so what kinds? would i be able 2 find these at kragen or something?? all tips and suggestions welcome. thanks

also i am having some mechanical issues with the car so would the people at the tune up shop be able 2 find out the problem?? or should i take it 2 a repair shop and ask them??

If YOU supply the parts, the mechanic will not warranty the work.

Remember to provide the service garage with plenty of blinker fluid, a few extra muffler belts, lots of shine-ola, spark plug boots (don't want them to get wet), underbody wax, and steering wheel lotion.  And remember to get them a couple of big buckets of elbow grease.



 Leave the rest of the supplies and parts to the shop.
